Dr Karabo Juliet Tlale is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Netcare Waterfall City Hospital in Midrand. She has worked at the Hospital since it opened in 2011 and was previously practising at Life Carstenhof Hospital since 2009.
Always keen to stay abreast of the latest developments in OB-GYN, she is a member of the South African Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists (SASOG), the European Society of Hysterescopy and Reproductive Endoscopy (ESHRE) and the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE).
Additionally, she holds a certificate in Endoscopy from the World School of Endoscopy in India and a certificate in Reproduction Medicine, which she obtained at the Kiel School of Reproductive Medicine in Germany.
Karabo''s experience extends far and wide. In addition to working at the Life Casternhof Hospital and Netcare Waterfall City Hospital, she has also been a Medical Officer, Registrar and Specialist/Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecolofy at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital.
In 2007, Karabo received the Elise Bose prize for excellent research work and presentation on syphisis funal height measurement in predicting the birth weight of a newborn. She is also a founder of Planned Adulthood, which aims to prepare teenagers as they transition to becoming young adults.
